Application of Water-cooled Light & Weather Fastness Tester TF422
A light & Xenon Test Chamber(Weather Odometer), also named Xenon Arc Weatherometer, is a water-cooled type of testing chamber. And this Xenon Weathering Test Chamber measures the color fastness and aging resistance of textiles, plastics, rubber products, or materials. Besides, the weather meter is also called xenon arc test chamber for adopting a water-cooled long-arc-xenon lamp and racking sprays to provide both light and dark cycles and natural weather conditions. Moreover, people also name it Fade O Meter as its final testing purpose is to check the color fading features.

1. Different lamp installation positions.

The test principle
The textile specimens and eight blue wool standards are sprayed and exposed to the sun in the xenon tester following the specified conditions. If the instrument is used to determine the wet photosensitive textiles, it is not necessary to expose the blue wool standard, and instead use the gray sample card to make a comparative assessment.
Note: These security measures are only for reference. They only play an auxiliary role in the testing procedure. Therefore, there is no need to follow the steps completely.
1 Do not operate the test equipment without reading and understanding the manufacturer's instructions. The operators should be responsible for following the manufacturer's instructions for safe operation.
2 The test equipment contains a light source with high brightness. So do not look directly into the light source. Close the test room door while the equipment is in operation.

4 When servicing test equipment, turn off the off switch and the main power disconnect switch to ensure that the main power indicator on the machine is off when the unit is equipped.
5 It is dangerous to prolong the exposure time of the skin and eyes to fluorescent light. So do not look directly into the sun under any circumstances.
